From Day to Night

Today was filled with plenty of wonderful moments, from early morning until well after the sun went down. Started with homemade Mickey Mouse pancakes for Lauren and Daddy and chicken apple sausage with scrambled eggs for me (okay, Daddy also thankfully indulged in the egg dish). After errands, did a little lounging, which kinda looked like this:



Of course, as soon as the sun broke through the morning clouds, we heard the pool insistently calling our names. Lauren was intent on practicing her back flip and flying-through-the-air skills, while Daddy got a great upper body workout to boot:









On this day, Mama was content to sit in the spa and snuggle.


Norm and I then got ourselves gussied up for an evening charity event at the local zoo - yes! My parents graciously baby-sat the bub so we could talk to the animals and thoroughly enjoy acting like kids (without any actually present).
