Birthday Sunday

It's technically not Norm's birthday just yet. But since his birthday is during the coming week and he's been working crazy hours lately, we did a little celebratin' of sorts today.

First up: a trip to Color Me Mine for the girls. Daddy joined us to pick out his gift (a mug), then he was promptly sent home so us gals could secretly decorate.

Next up: family pool time. The air was 75 degrees, the pool almost 82. We had noodle races, did mermaid dives, cannonballs, and lazed on floats. Ahhhhh.

Finally: family dinner out at Lauren's favorite bbq restaurant (yes, Daddy sacrificed his favorite place for his birthday dinner, but one look at her giddy face as she twirled around the tables to the twang of the country tunes, and I believe I can safely say he thought it was a worthwhile trade off).
