Bikini Girl

Lauren got her first real bikini this summer. Her girl cousins had bikinis and she begged and begged since she wants to emulate them in any way possible.

I was hesitant to give in, not wanting to see her look so grown up, and wishing we could keep her in Disney one-pieces forever. But, alas, a super cute Roxy two-piece called to me while at sporting goods store one day (and it was 40% off!), so I tentatively made the purchase.

Lauren was beyond thrilled and becomes this uber-confident, fun-loving, dancerizing tornado when she dons this suit. It really is something else to watch. As the days start to cool down a bit, we will retire the suit soon, and I'm sure by next summer she will be on to the next size up. I did, however, want to document her savvy style and sassy attitude in her first bikini.
