We all know how quickly life happens. If you so much as blink, you can miss so much. I now know that when you have a child, every day is filled with incredible moments, some of them frustrating, but most of them endearing and exhilirating. Each and every one of them I want to hold onto, cherish, and never forget (ok maybe a few can be forgotten, but I'm in my glass half full kind of state, so bear with me).
Being able to capture some of those moments via photos and stories which I can access whenever I get the urge not only helps me remember and re-live them, but makes me feel as if I could almost freeze in time these glimpses of wonderment that make up my life.
Of course, the thought that years down the road, Lauren will be able to read these posts and know the thoughts and musings of her very silly mama, further inspires me. It's no secret I love this child so much that I want to give her the world. It's probably a little selfish, but I'm sure part of me is hoping that this blog (which is, after all, mostly devoted to her) will help her understand just how much she is adored, not just by me, but by so many others.
Which brings us to today, full of many more of those moments.
Including the love for her Dada.

[Look, matching outfits!]
And another visit to the pumpkin patch with Kristen, this time in full Barbie Mermaid regalia.

Including bright pink hair streaks.

[Yes, Mama got big points for that accessory.]
Kristen took our camera to the pumpkin patch to take some photos, including the annual shot with Lauren as This Little Piggy.

While looking through the film, I saw this one of Lauren posing against the measuring wall, holding what looked to be a large inflatable baseball bat.

Followed in quick succession by her clearly enthusiastic use of said bat turned, um, weapon.

I've chosen not to ask who or what was on the receiving end, although I think Kristen may have mentioned something about a witch. Clearly, Lauren must have been engaging in self defense.
Still, another glorious day for the memory bank. Moments to be revisited with just a click.
