Our girl's energy level was uncharacteristically low before our venture, so coaxing a huge smile out of her was a tad ambitious.

But as soon as we arrived, her batteries switched to supercharge at the sight of one of the huge fountains, and from that point forward, there simply was no turning her off.

She was overjoyed to see Camille, who brought her a Madeline doll and accompanying book of stories.

After lunch, it was off to another fountain to make some wishes (for Lauren? "A man", sigh)

A brief respite in the grass before the shopping spree began in earnest.

Then it was off to Nordstrom, where we went in search of pink Skechers Twinkle Toes shoes (try saying that 10 times fast). We were not disappointed. Nordy's never fails to deliver.

After being measured (size 10 already!)

Lauren took a pair for a test drive.

They were sufficiently pink and sparkly but, alas, they did not have her size. So we ordered them for delivery (free delivery, of course) and found a super cute Hello Kitty raincoat to boot.
Before leaving, however, our diva insisted on striking a few poses and walking the "runway", much to the delight of the salespeople and other shoppers, who cleared the way for her to pose and strut her stuff.

Not only did we have a fabulously fun day, but all that activity meant a 7:15 p.m. bedtime tonight. She actually crawled in herself before 7 p.m. for book time. Just as well. Tomorrow's going to be another jam-packed day.

She is fierce, that Lauren! Look at her working those sparkly pink shoes!
I do love that she went shopping in a pink tutu. How very girly!
