On Donner . . . . . .

Santa came to our little community again this year. Courtesy of the Tustin Police Dept., sirens announced his arrival a week before Christmas, and all the kids in the neighborhood (with visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads) swarmed outside on the sidewalks waiting for their chance to greet the merry man (who arrived on the back of a flatbed truck in a makeshift sleigh with cardboard reindeer, lol). Of course, the acoustics in Tustin Ranch are so good that hearing the sirens didn't mean he was actually in our neighborhood yet (but was several streets away), so we huddled and danced in the bitter cold (it was truly cold for once) just so Lauren could get a candy cane and give him a hug. Luckily she was joined by her friend Faith, and they bravely boarded the sleigh by themselves to see him together.

Waiting patiently:
