Happy New Year! Yes, it's 2 days late, but still worthy of the announcement. On New Years' Day, Lauren and I drove to Westwood to visit with my very good friend Nancy and her family. Nancy, her husband Michael and kids currently live outside Chicago (they were visiting her parents in Westwood), but hopefully they will be making a move to Southern California soon (fingers and toes crossed)! Lauren adored Nancy's kids: Sophie, Daniel and baby Jack. The few hours we were there flew by and she didn't want to leave. Hopefully they can all visit again soon.
Nancy's parents have a wonderland of a backyard, full of greenery, stepping stones and neat hiding places. Here's our girl with a smile for the New Year:
