Holiday Dance Show 2008 and First Night of Hanukkah

Along with several pint-size members of her combo tap/ballet class at South Coast Performing Arts Center, Lauren participated in their holiday show held at a local church across the street from the dance studio. It was a very casual affair, with standing room only for parents and family in the auditorium. Nanny Kristen joined us so we could celebrate Hanukkah afterwards.

Lauren hung out with her teacher, Miss Michaela, and all the other dancers, prior to her performance (number 15 of 17, of course!), but any jitters she may have had melted away when she took the stage, and she performed to "Silent Night" like a true ballerina. Nutcracker here we come!!

We headed to Ruby's for a celebration dinner after the show, and Lauren showed off her Hanukkah bows she wore in her hair for the performance (of course Mommy insisted that her bows be silver and blue since all of the other girls wore only green and red):
