Hanukkah Concert

Last week Lauren had her kindergarten Hanukkah concert at school. Holy freakin' cuteness. Each of the 3 kindergarten classes performed on a different day and it took place in the Hebrew classroom (where they set up little person chairs for the grownups), so it was quite intimate. Of course my parents and I got there early and were front and center.

The kids didn't just sing one song. No. It was a full 30 minutes of singing, dancing and no less than 4 costume changes. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much.

Outfit #2. Girlfriend had some serious hip action and attitude when she sang this one.

During this song, each girl partnered up with a boy. Guess who got to boogey with Lauren?

I found out after the concert was over that I embarrassed her for laughing so hard while the two of them were dancing together. Oops. Must figure out a way to control myself in the future. It would be so much easier if it wasn't ridiculously amusing to see 5-year-olds holding hands and shooting nervous glances at each other. Ah, young love.

Outfit #3. Some kind of dreidel, I think?

So her first Hanukkah performance was a resounding success (minus the faux pas by Mom). Bonus is that we now have a child who sings and hums the songs around the house all the time. Hallelujah.

I think outfit #4 may even be a moomoo of sorts, lol.
And what part did Doobie play??? ;)

Keri, now that I think about it, Doobie was MIA. Hmm, suspicious! :)
