Mamma Mia

Lauren and I have been getting our cook on lately. I'm not a huge fan of cooking in general, mostly because I've never had the time or patience to really master it. I've got a few basic dishes down pat and occasionally branch out in hopes of adding another weekend meal to our repertoire.

But making food with a 4-year-old? It makes the whole experience an event, with aprons and chef hats a necessary component.

We've always made Boboli pizzas at home, but recently tried buying the Trader Joe's whole wheat dough to roll ourselves (thanks for the suggestion, Ma!).

Spoon on some pizza sauce, then sprinkle copious amounts of cheese.

[I see you spying the odd shape of the rolled out dough. Anyone can do a boring circle. It takes real talent to form a triangle with rounded edges, ya know?]

Then add your favorite toppings (black olives for Lauren, turkey pepperoni for Mommy and Daddy).

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes, and ............ voila!

Dig in!
