Celebrating Moms

It seems that every family wants to book a reservation for Mothers Day brunch around 11 a.m. As luck would have it, we are early risers and beat the crowds by arriving at 9:30. No wait for a table, fresher food (including king crab legs and peel 'n eat shrimp, yum!), and first dibs at the chocolate fountain (which was a particular favorite of a certain 4-year-old). Plus we now have the entire afternoon to chill (I can hear Lauren playing hide and seek with Daddy at the moment). I actually feel kinda sorry for all those families that get to sleep in (yes, I'm justifying).

Being able to celebrate with both my mom and daughter made this day extra special. Of course all of the other mothers in our lives who could not be physically present were still with us in our hearts.
