Holiday Piano Recital

Sunday, December 1st was Lauren's second Yamaha Music holiday recital. It also marked the first occasion she was to do a solo piece at a recital. Whoo hoo!!

For the occasion, we had her hair curled and styled, and she put on her fanciest dress.


The music studio was completely decked out for the holidays (well, for Christmas, at least).



Upon arrival, we immediately saw Cynthia, the teaching assistant who is also Lauren's "practice partner", who comes to our house every Wednesday afternoon for 30 minutes to review the week's lesson.


My parents, in addition to Norm and his girlfriend Kathy, also came to support and cheer on our little maestro.




Before the show began, Lauren entertained the troops, her ebullience positively filling the room.



The wacky singing Santa kicked off the start of the program, just as he did last year.



Lauren was first up in her class with her selection: "Gavotte"
