We've been sticking close to home this holiday weekend. Hosted friends for swimming and bbq on Saturday, and more friends for bowling and swimming on Sunday. Since Norm is working today, Lauren and I had big plans to devote the entire day to making a fairy village for her. I got the idea from another blog (of an incredibly crafty mom) and was inspired to raid Michaels for supplies, including my first glue gun. After a couple of hours, she's had enough, and we have readily accepted an invitation from our next door neighbors to spend the afternoon in their pool. Lauren is beyond excited to play with their 1-year-old daughter Sia.
As soon as I stop being waterlogged, I'll edit and post pics from the weekend. In the meantime, we're off to apply more sunscreen, grab some water toys, and enjoy a lazy 4th.
