Ghouls and Goblins

All of the anticipation, the waiting, the dreaming - it culminated in a perfect Halloween week for our little princess.

Two days prior to Halloween, Lauren was asked to come to ballet class dressed in a costume. Instead of her princess costume, she went as a fairy. Once she put on the outfit, she began to float, prance and dance in circles. Yes, we really have a girly girl.

The morning of Halloween, Lauren woke up sooo excited. Her fervor only increased when Nanny Kristen showed up with a special costume accessory for the two of them to share that day:

Unseasonably warm the night of Halloween, Lauren and her friend Faith walked hand in hand throughout the neighborhood to fill their plastic pumpkins with sweets (well, they actually only made it to 2 streets, but with a couple of toddlers, that took an hour!). After braving her first few houses, Lauren decided most of the decorations were too scary, so devised a perfect scheme with her accomplice. Faith would fearlessly walk to the front door of each house, grab two pieces of candy, then come back to the end of the driveway where she would drop one piece into Lauren's pumpkin. Genius! Nanni, Daddy, and Faith's grannies also accompanied the girls on their journey.

It was a sweet, sweet night.
