Octoberfest

As October wears on and we inch closer to Halloween, Lauren continues to tour as many pumpkin patches in the area as possible. Last weekend we found one in Irvine that had a sad selection of pumpkins, but Lauren still managed to have fun with her best stuffed friend, "Giraffe":



The best part about this patch was that we learned something very important: Lauren LOVES carnival rides!! She rode her first kid-sized ride (little airplanes that swung around and around, or as Lauren referred to it: the "airplane go-round"). After ensuring that there were lap belts on the ride (read: overprotective, neurotic mom), we let her on by herself, not sure whether she would become scared and demand to be removed. Well, we had nothing to worry about - not only did Lauren have a smile plastered to her face during the entire ride (and her tongue hanging out like an ecstatic puppy), but she became a daredevil and kept lifting her arms (with unrelenting prompting from Daddy) during her "flight".







Of course she insisted on going on it a second time, and would have continued until nightfall if we hadn't coaxed her into the car to go home with promises to return very soon.
