Party Fun

We've been to quite a few birthday parties in the past month. Lauren's party will of course get its own grand post, but in advance of that, she celebrated with a couple of special friends.

Classmate Maya entertained her friends at a bounce house venue. I've learned that those places are just as appealing to kids at age 4 as they are at age 7.

Without a doubt, they certainly bring out the sillies.

It became clear at this party how close Lauren has grown to Eden, whom she met in school this year. The two of them did not stop giggling together the entire time.

Two weekends ago, the day before Lauren's party, saw us attending Ruby's birthday celebration at her new house. With an absolutely picturesque day and pool heated to 87 degrees (thank you!!!), a swim party was certainly in order. Even though they had not seen each other in almost a year (Ruby is the daughter of one of my colleagues and they usually only see each other a few times a year), Lauren and Ruby were glued to each other's sides for almost the entire party. The fact that Lauren didn't know any of the other kids there made the bond between her and Ruby seriously special.
