I had 4 tickets and thought it would be uber fun to invite one of Lauren's friends (handling more than 1 friend at a time was not an option).
Who better to ask than one little boy from school with whom she has had a love-hate relationship? Around the middle of the school year, we started hearing about how Lauren did not like Brandon because he always got in trouble and teased her mercilessly. Next thing we knew, Brandon's mom was calling me asking for a play date with Lauren. Ahhh, teasing explained. After a supervised play date at his house, she now thinks he's the funniest thing ever.
Since I had another ticket available and wasn't quite sure how to juggle the whole stadium bathroom situation with a boy (if I or Lauren had to go, you couldn't drag a 6-year-old boy into the girls room, and I certainly wasn't about to leave him sitting in his seat by himself), good old Pop-Pop Mark came to the rescue. What a lifesaver he was, too (turns out, nature called for Brandon pretty much every 30 minutes).
Heading into the stadium.

Brandon even cracked himself up.

View from our seats.

Matching tattoos for the kids.

Every time the Angels hit a home run, we got fireworks.
We saw 'em six times.

Following the 7th inning stretch, with their commemorative bats in tow, we called it an afternoon.

Lauren's reaction to the day? Easy - she had an absolute ball ....... (sorry, couldn't resist).
