Crushin'

This morning Lauren was hard at work doing something oh so secretive. She refused to allow me to see what she was up to until she was finished. Holding the pad of paper behind her back, she said "Mama, I've got something to show you, but you can't show Daddy." Something instinctual has made her think that talk about boys is limited to mommies and daughters for the time being.

Sheepishly, she held it up for me see.

Of course, later on, when she was in another room, I ran to show it to Norm. While the entire thing is just so unbelievably cute, what really made us hysterically laugh was not the fact that she drew Sam wearing a TVT shirt (most kids wear their school t-shirts one or two days a week), but that she included a yarmulke on his head (all boys wear them during school). The yarmulke she drew, if you ask me, resembles a halo. So maybe our angel has met another little angel? Let's hope so. She's already saying she wants him at her birthday party. Uh oh. Here we go.
