Keep On Dancing

I'll admit it. I love having a girl. A girly girl who lives to wear princess dresses and tiaras, who yearns for nothing more than to sit at her vanity in our bathroom and run a blush brush across her little round cheeks while she watches me get ready for the day.

And the fact that she also loves taking dance classes and the opportunity to wear soft pink ballet slippers with her hair in a bun, or a star-spangled jazz top? Simply icing on an already incredible cake.

She is taking both jazz and lyrical ballet at her current dance studio. When her best friend from school last year, Virginia, begged her to join her Saturday morning ballet class at a different studio, what were we to do?

Add class #3 to the list, of course.

Miss Kelly is incredibly patient and encouraging, and amazingly, there are only 3 students in the class (new friend Harley is also the sweetest thing). Talk about personal attention! After some initial trepidation, Lauren opened up and let her inner ballerina shine.

So while I had been enjoying our lazy Saturday mornings at home, nursing a steaming mug of Italian roast and reading the paper, looks like I'll be breaking out a to-go cup to see our girl twirl, dip, and sashay her little heart out. Gladly.
