Party Primping

Well, last Sunday was Lauren's birthday party. It was a blast. Of course, I'm nowhere near ready to post about it yet because of my camera-happy tendencies and the fact that I'm still navigating my way around this amazingly cool new computer my thoughtful husband just got for me.

In the meantime, however, I can share what we did the day before the party. Every princess deserves to be pampered in advance of her celebration, so we had a mommy-daughter excursion to the nail salon. Lauren has one nail technician she absolutely loves (and vice versa) who she has seen during the handful of times she has gone since she turned 3. Yes, this princess cherishes her beauty time.



Did I mention that Lauren is very into the entire mani/pedi process? She pays close attention to the details, directing which color goes on which toe (yes, she has been known to select a rainbow of colors to wear all at once, although she is only allowed clear with sparkles on her fingernails).





But her favorite part of the experience? Well, just like her mama, she truly appreciates the value of a good massage.
