Swim and Dance Party

One of Lauren's favorite friends is a little girl named Ximena (pronounced "Himenna") who is in her dance class on Saturday mornings. It is so cute to see them greet each other at dance class with a big hug, and then walk hand in hand into the dance studio.

Last Saturday, we took Lauren to Ximena's 3rd birthday party at her grandparents' house, which is literally 2 minutes from our home. Lauren had an amazing time, particularly in the pool.

You absolutely cannot rush this child into anything. Here she is telling Daddy to hold on, she's not ready yet to dive in:

Then she was off like a shot, swimming back and forth between Daddy and the steps:



Working on her balancing skills, both in and out of the water (hmm, guess she's actually been paying attention to me doing yoga moves next to the tub while she's in the bath every night - a girl's got to multi-task, you know):

After lunch and more swimming, the party entered the game phase, with a limbo and dance contest:

After all that activity, we actually had no trouble getting Lauren down for a nap later that afternoon, just in time for mom and dad to collapse from exhaustion. Just another weekend day in the Katz household.
