It's All About Fun

We love this age (well, at least for Lauren, ha ha). Fun, fun, fun. She holds full conversations with both us, her dolls and stuffed animals (particularly her pink giraffe). Her latest favorite question to any person or creature she encounters is "What are you doing today?", with perfect inflection on the end of the question. She still chooses to identify names for many of her dolls as "Penna", "Tinna", "Trinna", or some incarnation of those words. (we have no clue where those came from). Although she added a new name to one of her small dolls last week: "Shalom". Yes, after only 1 week at the JCC, our 2-year-old knows a Hebrew word, and we couldn't be more proud. We expect her to surpass her mother's Hebrew vocabulary by the time she's 3.

Last weekend, we went to dinner with Lauren's Nana and Pop Pop Mark, and she had a blast, as usual. She's always been a good eater (knock wood) and adores eating out. After dinner, they posed for a shot:

What a little performer we have on our hands. After dinner, she couldn't resist demonstrating her new found break dancing skills for us outside the restaurant (thanks to Nanny Kristen for teaching her!). I think it's her "army pants" that inspired her to bust a move:

The weather this past week has continued to be warm and beautiful and we are still spending lots of time outside in the evenings. I swear, she thinks she's a fly girl, always dancing and grooving for our viewing pleasure:

Last weekend, we took Lauren miniature golfing. For every hole, she started by picking up her ball, and placing it about 3 inches from the hole. That's when she would try to hit it in. If she couldn't make it with her sassy orange golf club, she would just toss it in, then do her victory dance. She kept us on a mean pace, constantly saying "Next hole!"

After a grueling game of golf (boy, that course was tough!), Lauren got to relax with Daddy on a train ride. It was a special end to a wonderful family weekend.
