She did invite Eden, a classmate this year who has become a very good friend in recent months. Eden was unable to attend her party since her family was moving to Israel for a few months (her dad is a rabbi and was going on sabbatical), so being able to include her on Lauren's actual birthday was a treat for both of them.

Also joining in the festivities?

While the place may be noisy (was it ever!) and the restaurant food not especially stellar, one thing's for sure: the staff at Farrell's sure knows how to ensure the guests of honor have a great time.

As the images show, it was a fabulous day to turn 7 and an even more fabulous celebration.

Fast forward a week later, and she woke beyond excited for her official party. She chose to have it at a location where she attended a friend's party last year: Olivia's Dollhouse Tea Room. As it is right down the street from our house, I really couldn't complain. Nor was I very surprised. An afternoon of dress-up, hair, makeup, lemonade and bite-sized food? A no-brainer for our precious princess.
She insisted that it was important for her to practice her glamour shots before we even left the house for the party.

Olivia's definitely has a unique charm all its own.

Queen Lauren had 11 princesses attending her soiree. Once inside, they each picked a gown to wear, then had their hair, makeup, and nails done.

After all the girls were primped and attired, they gathered together........

Then each had a chance to walk the runway and pose for the camera.

The girls then eagerly waited for their entrance into the enchanted dining room.

Seated at a heart shaped table, the young ladies were given a lesson in etiquette prior to eating their lunch and drinking their "tea" (aka pink lemonade or water).

[Love her pinky finger, lol]
In the blink of an eye, lunch was completed and it was time for presentation of the cake.

[Can you tell how hard she's concentrating on that wish?]

Norm provided some post-meal comic relief (something to do with telling the girls he was going to hide an M&M and then stuffing it into his mouth):

Before we knew it, the queen and her court had to retire to their chambers for a long night's rest.

Hope you had an amazing birthday, Lauren Jade. Can't believe another year has come and gone. You continue to grow and become more beautiful, inside and out, with each passing day. We love you forever and ever.
