But this evening, it's fresh in my mind, so here goes ........
While putting her to bed tonight, she was playing with her Leapster and showing me all of the games and high tech functions. It lead me into a discussion with her about computers and how when I was her age, we didn't have computers. How I learned to type on a, gasp, typewriter ("What's that, Mama?"). The conversation then morphed into how Daddy and I didn't have CDs or DVDs, followed by me trying in vain to explain what records and cassette tapes were.
She listened quite intently, her eyes round as saucers. After I finished, she took everything in for a moment, paused, and then asked, "Did you have lights?"
I know, I know, a perfectly reasonable question, but it just cracked me up to no end. I remember being a kid and how someone in their 40s seemed sooooo ancient. Guess I'm that old fart now. Sigh.

And because it is next to impossible to create a post without including an actual image of our sprite, here's a couple from this past weekend, after applying her own makeup (with only a little help from her mama) in advance of an impromptu dance performance for an audience of two rather adoring fans.
