This year they are not in the same class, but still excitedly interact when they catch a glimpse of each other before and after school. So of course she (we) were thrilled to be invited to Jordan's 4th birthday party yesterday at the Newport Sports Museum.
Upon arrival, Lauren tried to play it cool when greeting the birthday boy but could barely contain her glee:

She coquettishly laughed at his jokes:

Then drew him in with her slick dance moves:

But then . . . . . . . . the unthinkable happened.
Something (or should I say, someone), gulp, came between them:

Who was this pretty little girl and how COULD he?

Turns out Ava is in Jordan's current class and they are also sweet on each other. Plus she's cute, makes funny faces and chases after him too. All well and good, but crushing to our girl nonetheless:

Of course, to know Lauren is to know that she is a glass-half-full kind of gal, and not one to be easily brought down. If Jordan's going to play the field, then gosh darn it, she should look elsewhere to find someone who only has eyes for her and can fully appreciate her beauty (inner and outer) and charm, right?

Didn't take too long (about 10 minutes, give or take a few):
