Lauren Turns 3!!

Ok, so it's been 6 weeks since Lauren's birthday, but I had sooo many photos to edit from that weekend, so better late than never to document our fabulous time.

On Saturday, April 11, after a week of on/off rainy weather, the sun came out the day of Lauren's party at Cedar Grove Park. Note to self: the stress of worrying about the weather is definitely not worth another outdoor birthday party in April!

Excited can't begin to describe Lauren's elation at having her party. Her "girl" cousins from Reno were in town (along with Uncle Greg and Aunt Stacie), and that was the proverbial icing on the cake for her. 17 kids came to the party, from her JCC preschool class, dance class, and children of our close friends. The theme was Curious George (Lauren's selection - way less scary than the Teletubbies last year), and she had a bounce house (of course), in addition to a balloon artist who made uber cool balloon creations (including a monkey in a tree with bananas). Needless to say, it was a great morning.

Ever the consummate hostess, welcoming Brigitte from tap/ballet class:

Ximena from dance class was also a favorite guest:

She didn't stop moving the whole morning!

It wouldn't be a party without some roughhousing with Daddy:

I couldn't help but order the cake again from French's Cupcake Bakery on 17th Street in Costa Mesa - truly the most tasty cakes!):
