Spring is Here!

We have had somewhat of a colder winter, and even now it is gray and chilly outside. However, a couple of weeks ago, we took advantage of a beautiful mild Sunday afternoon (about 72 degrees) to take Lauren to a new park by our house. It has a Western theme with covered wagons for the kids to play in, and a large grassy area.

She wouldn't stay still for long - before I could snap another shot she was off and running:


And continued to run around for the rest of the afternoon!


I got inspired and proceeded to do cartwheels across the lawn (boy did I feel that the next day!). Then Lauren and I took a self-portrait. I love it because it shows the true color of her hair and eyes:


We're hoping the warm weather returns soon so we can go back to that park, with a picnic basket in tow.
