1A Leads Kabbalat Shabbat

Lauren's class recently had the distinction of leading the lower school's weekly Kabbalat Shabbat service. The kids had to dress in white, and of course Lauren insisted on wearing her fanciest white dress (her preschool graduation dress, I might add. Getting some serious mileage out of it]. My parents joined me bright and early for the celebration.

As you can tell by their faces, the students in Classroom 1A were super excited to be there:

Perched on the end of the top row, our girl was in a class all her own.

By the end of the hour, many of the kids could be seen yawning and getting somewhat fidgety up there, but it didn't stop the family members in the audience from wearing proud smiles and giving enormous hugs post-performance.
