Le Cat

Lauren has started art classes at Renaissance Art Center. She has taken art previously in school and is forever drawing and working on pictures at home. But this is her first foray into formal training. It's something she has asked to do, mind you, we weren't looking for another activity to fill her dance card.

She came home on her first day (the trial class) last week with her first masterpiece done in pastels.

Of course, being who I am, the next day we hightailed it to Aaron Brothers to get a frame and a couple of mats (personally selected by the artist) to highlight her creation, which now proudly hangs over the dresser in her room.

Next Thursday is her second class. Think I may need to find lots more wall space in the house very soon.
